There’s no easy pull quote from this article but it’s a great read the whole way through - exploring both Egger’s latest book about a New Orleans man’s ordeal after Katrina (Called Zeitoun ) and Egger’s larger roots as the founder of McSweeney’s and humanitarian.

The 826 Valencia reading centers around the US are definitely on my list of places to visit on the road trip, and I also hope to stalk the McSweeney’s office and see what it is like to work there.
